Fear has torment and can ensnare

1. Fear can keep one from all God has for him (Luke 8:37, Numbers 14:4).
2. Fear can rule one’s life if permitted (Job 3:25, Psalm 48:6).
3. Fear can break the hedge around one’s life (Job 3:25).
4. Fear can make one powerless (Job 4:14).
5. Fear will lead to the feeling of rejection (1 King 19:14).    
6. Fear will open one to sin (Genesis 20:11, Act 5:1-4).
7. Fear will make one seek help where there is none (1 Samuel 28:15, 2 King 1:2).
8. Fear will shut one’s eyes to the presence of God (2 King 6:16-17).
9. Fear will drive faith out of one and will keep God out of one’s situation (Mark 6:5).
10. Fear will make one deny his savior in the face of trouble (Matthew 26:70).
11. Fear will make one leave his land of inheritance (Ruth 1:1).
12. The fear of death is what leads to death (Numbers 14:22-23, Ruth 1:1-5).
13. Fear of a man will prove to be a snare but whosoever trust in the Lord shall not be moved (Proverbs 29:25).
14. Everyone who has ever lived has known the torment of fear.
15. Fear looks at the visible things, the situation and circumstances.
16. Faith looks at the invisible things, essentially the word of God.
17. Fear comes by hearing the word of the devil, and faith by hearing the word of God. Keep hearing the word of God and you will prevail over the spirit of fear.
